Għarb

We spent most of the day doing something I am very bad at, sitting still. Well not exactly, we did swim but laying around has not been one of my strong points but Kim made me promise to slow down on this trip a little and we did… at least during the day.

Tonight was the highlight of the celebration we have been hearing via explosions, the Feast of The Visitation of Our Lady in nearby Għarb. Pronounced ‘harb’ and means west in Arabic the village was an easy walk from our hotel how could we resist not going. Great to see a local celebration and dined on savory crepes and beer (well, coke for Syd) for under €15 for all three of us. Could not ask for a better day.

Reading Posts on “Smart” Devices

I have noticed that pictures taken with iPhones and uploaded to the blog site before posting come out sideways when the blog is read on a smart phone or iPad but are correctly oriented when the post is read on on a computer. All is fine when I create the complete post on the smart device including uploading the pictures. I have seen this in past blogs and when I checked with a website expert (Hi Rene) he said the browser on the smart devices was not reading the picture meta data correctly even though it was present. Oh well… So if you are seeing sideways photos, sorry but it is out of my control…

Ok I will stop being a Virgo and go back to relaxing…
